daring, ambitious, supercilious
A friend from back home used an american passport argument to make me shut up. He claimed that I am on his country's territory and therefore he has the right for the last word.
This US citizenship was shaven in my face as rudely as it could.
Every single day I struggle to live up to my fellow students, to those who are American, who are not going to be kicked out of this space as soon as they graduate. They have the security of not having to come back into darkness of their land, into the complete lack of any chance or opportunity. Every single day I try to win my way through this world order that says that I am inferior for having had the doubtable luck to have been born in a forsaken land.
